Paris Photo 2019
Bonjour!
I will be in Paris November 6 - 13 for the Paris Photo exhibition as well as some time wandering the City of Lights with my Leica M6. I will be taking twenty rolls of Silbersalz 35 cinefilm. Silbersalz is repackaged Kodak Vision motion picture film that is developed and uniquely scanned at the Silbersalz lab in Germany. I believe Paris will look great on this film and I can’t wait to see what I end up creating. I will be sure to share moments from the trip and Paris Photo in my Instagram stories..
Until next time,
Jason

I’m a traveler at heart. I love the feeling of being on the road, chasing adventure and light, inspired by the stories of Hemingway, Bourdain, Kerouac and other adventurous souls…

Charleston, SC - Pt 2 - The Film Photos
Just a four and a half hour drive from Atlanta, Charleston is a beautiful town full of history, architecture and excellent food. Brooke and I recently spent a long weekend in Charleston for our 14th wedding anniversary. We parked the car, checked into the Fulton Lane Inn and spent three days exploring on foot. For Charleston I decided to leave my digital camera behind and shoot film (as well as a few iPhone snaps). I used the Leica M6 and 35 f2 lens for a majority of these snapshots. There are a couple of photos from a Mamiya 645 with a 55mm lens (35 equivalent) I was testing for the first time. The Mamiya was a little tricky to focus the first few times I used it, but I’ve since gotten the hang of it. All photos are shot on Kodak Portra 400 at box speed and were developed and scanned by The Darkroom Lab in San Clemente, California.

Here are a few iPhone XR pics from Charleston. This is the first chance I’ve had to travel with the XR and I’m impressed with the camera over my iPhone X.
In Part 2 I will share my 35mm and 120 film pics when they return from TheDarkRoom.com
